What a great start to the FA Cup proper.

The 3rd Round draw was made last night and has drawn our beloved City against a local team from Salford. The last time the 2 teams met saw us put 6 goals past them in a one-sided affair at the swamp. Let’s continue to show them what we are about when they visit our great city of Manchester in early January.

Abu Dhabi Blues will be gathering at NRG Bar tonight to watch the debut of Manchester City in the Champions League. We hope for a good turn out being a special occasion.

A blistering start to the premier league season sees us joint top of the league. Next Saturday September 10th we host Wigan at the Etihad Stadium. Kick off is 6pm UAE time.

We are planning on gathering at the NRG bar which is located at the Le Meridien Hotel in Abu Dhabi (next to Abu Dhabi Mall). Let’s try to get as many down there as possible. Any questions let me know.

FA Cup Final

Just to clarify with all Abu Dhabi based supporters, Etihad are only offering tickets for the match if you book via their Etihad Holiday division and purchase an entire package of Flight, accommodation and ticket. My opinion is the price is extremely high compared to that of the company that offered the same in Dubai. If you need details please email me and I can furnish you accordingly. There is a bunch of us flying on the Virgin flight ex Dubai on the 13th at 10am. There are many gathering places near to Wembley on the day of the final, the Green Man is the popular choice at the moment as they are serving breakfast and full bar from 9am.

Spurs Game

City will host Spurs next Tuesday 10th May at 10.45 UAE time. We will be gathering at Stars n Bars in the Yas Marina to watch the game live. This will cement our place in the top 4 should we prevail. Any questions please let me know.

As many of us are preparing our trip to Wembley, I thought I would share some information we have gathered. Virgin Atlantic are offering the best priced airfare to London ex Dubai. Some of the supporters from Dubai and Abu Dhabi (including me) are booked on this service. For a hotel stay, we have found the Marriott in Regents Park to be average priced and very suitable to get to the stadium. There are some hotels close by the stadium in walking distance but they are also priced accordingly.

In the coming week we will be getting feedback from other supporters clubs around the world on any specific meet up areas pre game and after game (and night before if required).

A well deserved 3 points that now sees us top of the table for at least 24 hours. Whilst scoring 4 decent goals and Dzeko having a good debut I am not too pleased with seeing 3 goals against us at home. I think Lescott was a bit unlucky as his momentum took him into the diving Doyle as he was trying to cross out of his way.  I hope we can keep this winning streak going and get Dzeko into match awareness to face the rags in a few weeks.

City travel to Turin tonight and will more than likely give a run out to some of the less played fringe players as we have already qualified for the next stages of the Europa League. If we top the group we will avoid the fall outs of the Champions League in the next round.

Kick off is 6pm UK Time / 10pm UAE time. Game will be shown live on Al Jazeera Sport +10.

City travel to the capital this sunday to take on City old boss Mark Hughes and his Fulham team. With the results we had under Hughes and the recent activity under Mancini, will we see another draw??

Well, another below par boring performance. The defence did what they needed to do but we played at such a slow pace that gave Birmingham every chance to put men behind the ball. I am not sure whether to worry or be frustrated. These are games that need to be pressed and won. We still hold the 4th spot but I look at teams like Bolton right behind us, that is the frustration. We are on the same points this year as we were under Hughes last year. Surely we should have progressed somewhat?

Mancini got a few boos from the 44000 + crowd especially when he brought off Tevez who was apparently carrying a slight knock. lets get behind the team and management.

I certainly hope that we can pull this together over the period of the season and if we look around the premier league only Chelsea are consistent. Come on City lets sort this out and stop believing in our own hype. Back to basics.
