Welcome to Abu Dhabi Blues

In August 2008 the Abu Dhabi United Group purchased Manchester City Football Club and set about transforming the club, driven by the vision of establishing itself as one of the top 4 Premier League sides.

With no MCFC official supporters club in Abu Dhabi, two MCFC fans decided to embark on the journey to form an OSC here in Abu Dhabi to provide fellow fans an opportunity to come together and share in the excitement that their team provides.

Our goal is to spread the word for Abu Dhabi based supporters, and co-ordinate venues so that we can come together and watch the games as a group. In addition we plan to host other events in conjunction with the clubs activities in Abu Dhabi, similar to those held when the club visited us in November 2009.

One Week On…….

With the memories of last weekend still at the forefront of my mind, I am sure that many of you are still coming to terms with the fact that we are Champions of England!

Champions!!!

Well……Where do we start? What an absolute heart rendering finale to the title race.  I am still twitching and mumbling after watching what was probably the best ever 5 minutes of football I have ever witnessed. Anyway, you don’t need me to express the feelings, being a true City Fan you will know what this means to us, the team and the owners in addition to partners and sponsors at the club.

If you are interested, the Champions yes Champions Parade will be shown on AD Sports TV 5 tonight at what I assume will be 9pm – 9.30pm UAE time start. Enjoy the moment! I know I will……

Newcastle v Manchester City – Gathering

After a glorious night in Manchester, the Abu Dhabi Blues will be gathering for the next match v Newcastle at the NRG bar in Le Meridien Hotel. We need all the support together for this game as it is probably one of the biggest games in our past 40 years. KO is 4.30pm on Sunday May 6th.

NextMatch – City v Wolves

The Abu Dhabi Blues will be gathering at NRG Sports Bar (Le Meridien) on Sunday for the crucial game against Wolves. As the season draws to an end City are still very much in the race for the title. Come along and join your fellow City supporters for a great atmosphere. KO is 7PM.

I will also have all the membership cards with me for those who have yet to collect theirs.

Jim Cassell named as Honorary President of Abu Dhabi Blues

The Abu Dhabi Blues are very pleased and excited to announce that Jim Cassell – Head of International Academy MCFC, has accepted our offer to become the Honorary President of Abu Dhabi Blues – Manchester City Supporters Club. It is a true honor for us to have a man of such high calibre to accept the role. Jim said that it is a great honor for him.

MCFC v Arsenal – Sunday 8th April 2012

Abu Dhabi Blues will be gathering in Coopers Bar at 5pm ahead of the Arsenal game this Sunday. From there we will be going to the Sky Blue event at The Clubhouse at ZSC to watch the game. Coppers is based inside the Park Rotana Hotel in Khalifa Park area. This is a big game for us so all your support will be really appreciated. We are in this together!

Also for all of you who provided me with details for Supporters Club Membership, the cards are now available and I will be distributing them this Sunday at the Arsenal game.

Derby Day Gathering

The Abu Dhabi Blues will be gathering at NRG Sports Bar (Le Meridien Hotel) for this weekends FA Cup 3rd round clash with the team from Salford. City look to be without a few key players due to the african cup of nations and injury. The game is on Sunday 8th Feb and kick off is 5pm UAE time. We all remember what happened the last time we played them…….
